On our summer vacation stopped here on the way in and back because we loved it so much. The posole was amazing! Will definitely be a stop every time I visit NM.
The food was nice, tasty and had unique flavor. The staff were friendly. Ordered blue corn onion rings, blue corn enchiladas and pueblo Benedict. Had a wait time for 20 mins when we went for lunch. The serving was fast.
We had a great lunch experience at Indian Pueblo Kitchen. Our server was so kind and helpful. He recommended excellent dishes. We loved the fried pickles, loaded fries, elk chili, Indian taco and blue corn enchiladas. The green chili sauce was amazing! I recommend trying the Zia sodas. The prickly pear cactus was our favorite. It reminds me of a light fruit punch.
We had 2 excellent meals at Indian Pueblo Kitchen and its satellite location at the Albuquerque Sunport. I had the red chile posole with corn tortillas and the green chile stew with oven bread. Both were excellent with good flavor and fresh ingredients. It’s clear the team here takes pride in their food and service. Next time we’re in town, we will definitely be back!
This restaurant is in the Native American Center. The food was very delicious. We did order the Kool aid fried pickles. I didn't really care for them, but it was a novelty.
Ok starting with the easy part. Service & Atmosphere - Incredibly kind and warm staff. Couldn’t be nicer. They keep the place clean and calm. I didn’t see any “keep quiet” signs but maybe it’s understood as part of the culture? It was very peaceful and made for a nice spot to relax and enjoy a meal. The food - this one is a little tricky. I’m giving it a 5 not because it was my favorite, but because I can I recognize that it was food made well and with quality ingredients. Hatch chiles are a foreign taste to me (and most people visiting from outside the region) and the red hatch chiles in particular aren’t my favorite. But I wanted to try something new. I got the Indian Taco “Christmas style” with red and green chiles. The red Chiles have a strong earthy taste. The dish was essentially a very well made taco salad on “fry bread” which was so warm and pillowy rather than a hard shell. I would probably suggest the enchiladas over the Indian Taco but that’s just me! It is nice to see a culture being preserved and flourishing so I’m happy to support it if im ever in the area again. Also, this restaurant is part of the cultural center so you can learn a little about The 19 Pueblos and check out the gift shop.
We got the IPK burger with fry bread and Indian Taco and they were great! I just wish the fry bread was crispier/fresher. We had the best red and green chili we’ve had so far! The service was super good also and I really appreciate the lady’s fast and helpful service despite being so busy!
the service was wonderful and the food was so so good! perfect for the whole family. i had never had indian fry bread before and it was delicious. the blue corn onion rings with the dip are also a must. i got the navajo taco which was filling and scrumptious, and my sister got the IPK burger which she said was so interesting; the fry bread took up the entire plate! a perfect blend of modern and traditional. overall, the portions of each dish were huge and the prices were great too.
